Who can apply?
Everyone representing a country in the EMEA can apply between the 28th February and 3rd of March, however not everyone will be invited to participate in the qualifiers. To be eligible to apply you need to fulfil the following requirements:
- • Be 18 years old or age of majority at the time for the regional final (Latest at April 5th 2024)
- • Have a valid passport issued in the country you are competing for
- • Be able to travel to Stockholm Sweden for the regional finals April 11th-14th
- • Have a GeoGuessr Pro account that hasn’t been banned for cheating the last 12 months
- • Have a working webcam
How does the qualification work?
The qualifying player will be invited to book a 1-hour time slot during the qualification period.
During this qualification slot the player will be presented with online challenges (move, no-move and no-move-pan-zoom). Each challenge will have a 1 minute timer and will be played on a new GeoGuessr World Cup Qualification map.
The challenges will be played under the supervision of the GeoGuessr World Cup referees and the player is required to have a working webcam.
Who qualifies?
The players advancing from the qualifiers to the regional final will be based on performance in the qualification challenges and take nationalities into account to assure a diverse lineup in the World Final 2024.
The EMEA regional finals have 7 of 16 open spots, Consus (NLD), Blinky (FRA), Giovanni (POL), Topotic (ESP), Alok (SRB), Debre (HUN), Gelotris (TUR), Wolftrekker (GBR) and Lennli (DEU) are direct qualified for the regional finals based on their placement in the 2023 GeoGuessr World Cup.
