The word “Texas” often conjures images of vast, open plain. Indeed, a large area of the largest state on the continental US is like that. But Texas is also home to some of the fastest growing cities in the United States. Places like Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio have experienced tremendous growth in the past two decades, both in terms of size and population. In border cities like El Paso and McAllen, the population is over 85% Latino.
