Single Word

In this exercise, you simply translate a word from your native language. You're given one letter as a clue. You don't have to write the letters in any particular order. When you write a letter that occurs in the word, all occurrences are filled in. If you get stuck, double-click on a square and the correct letter is filled in.

If you need to write characters not available on your keyboard, press F4 or click the button with a keyboard on it.

1 + 4 Words

In this exercise, you're given one word in your native language and four possible translations. Click on the correct alternative, or select it by pressing one of the keys 1 through 4. When you select the correct word, it turns green, and a new word appears after a short pause. Click the button 'New word' or press Enter if you want a new word immediately.

10 + 10 Words

In this exercise, you pair words with their translations. When you have found a word's translation, you first click on the white square to the right of the word, and then click on the white square to the left of the translation.

Tempo

In this exercise, a word is shown at the top of the screen, and you must quickly find its translation among the 25 words below it. When you think you've found the translation, click on it. If it's correct it turns green, otherwise it turns red.

Crossword

You can move around in the crossword using the arrow keys, or move directly to a square by clicking on it. Press the Shift key to write horizontally, and the Control key to write vertically.

If you right-click on a square, you see the clues for the words beginning in that square. You can also see the clues by moving to the square and pressing Enter.

If you need to write characters not available on your keyboard, press F4 or click the button with a keyboard on it. If you get stuck, double-click on a square and the correct letter is filled in.

Gender

In this exercise, you'll learn the gender of nouns. You're given ten nouns with translations. Click the correct gender for each noun (en/ett, der/das/die, (m)/(f)). If your answer is correct, a green dot is displayed.

Irregular verbs

In this exercise, you practice inflecting verbs by giving the different forms of the word shown. The easiest way to move between the text boxes is by pressing the Tab key. When you have entered the last verb form, press Tab again, and then press Enter to correct the verb.
